The Beginning of the Beginning

Welcome to Post One. Numero Uno. Ground Zero. The Original Sin.

I'll be posting updates over the course of V15 in the Barossa Valley - due to commence in about a week with.... McLaren Vale Cabernet!

I work as a winemaker in a small (ish) winery making wine for two brands: one multi-regional (Adelaide Hills, Barossa and McLaren Vale), the other a champion for the classics of the Barossa - Shiraz, Grenache, Mataro, with a schluck of Viognier and Riesling.

Vintage is warming up, so we'll soon be entering that wonderful time of year - long, hot days; mental and physical exhaustion; drinking at a level technically classified as alcoholism and making awesome wine.  

I may have to include the odd masturbatory reflection upon wine and it's business, but i'll try and circumnavigate the waters of snobbery as best I can.
